Controls System Engineer

  • Salary: Ranging from £35-£45k

Due to the critical nature of our work and the industries we serve, we hold 'key worker' status.The Role: Control Systems EngineerThe Control Systems Engineer will oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring technical compliance and quality. Responsibilities include attending client meetings, discussing design, surveys, programming, configuration, testing, and commissioning. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar environment and possess good knowledge of Siemens or Rockwell PLCs, as well as other SCADA, HMI, variable speed drives, and instrumentation products.Key Responsibilities:

  • Production, modification, testing, and commissioning of SCADA & PLC software
  • Writing detailed functional design specifications
  • Configuring system architecture and network connections
  • UK site commissioning (which may involve short periods away from home)
  • For lead positions, the ability to manage and motivate a team of engineers for optimal output.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Software Engineering Degree and/or Electrical qualifications
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous control system experience (2 years+)
  • Clean UK Driving License
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Experienced with PLC programming (Rockwell/Siemens/Mitsubishi) or SCADA development (Wonderware System Platform, Rockwell FTViewSE, WinCC, Clear SCADA, Iconics Package).
