Are you an experienced Head of HR with a history of developing skilled and high-performing teams and providing direct strategic and commercial people partnering support across Exec Board and Heads of Department?

Reporting to the Chief People Officer with no direct budget responsibility, you’ll lead on several strategic projects and the delivery of the People Plan activities, shaping the future agenda to ensure we maintain a compelling employee proposition as an employer of choice.

You’ll be based between our Head Office in Borehamwood and Luton hub office, working where you’re needed depending on demands and priorities, with occasional working from home.

Your responsibilities also include:

  • Holding a valuable and credible seat at the table, influencing functional performance against business priorities.
  • Influence decision making, coaching senior leaders and holding the leaders to account
  • People lead accountability for all functional level organisation change, talent management and succession, D&I plans, resource planning and employee relations alongside the Executive Board members and the Senior Leadership teams.
  • Execute the delivery of strategic people priorities, drive performance through people and build a compelling environment for our Head Office teams to give their best. 
  • Lead on scoping and delivery of projects outlined in our Elysium People Plan
  • Ensure key tactical and strategic HR initiatives and interventions are fully supported, well planned and are embedded across our business teams.
  • Direct line management of two of the People Leadership team, with additional roles added as the structure matures

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Expert at influencing senior leaders, whilst maintaining strong credible relationships.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of how to influence through business agenda.
  • Ability to build strong partnering relationships across People team, HR colleagues and business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant employment law and what the organisation needs to do to mitigate relevant risk.
  • Drive critical thinking at senior leadership team level and on 1: 1 basis.
  • Articulate and an excellent communicator
