About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of People to lead and manage our HR function across the group. As a key member of our senior team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing plans to positively impact key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring the effective use of technology within the function to maximise efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the HR function across the group, working closely with the HR team, care homes, and senior team to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and implement HR generalist areas, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, policy implementation, compliance checks, mentorship, training, employee engagement, reward, retention, succession planning, and talent spotting.
  • Audit key HR processes and compliance areas in the group, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, such as those under the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Home Office.
  • Take accountability for compliance checks in regards to Sponsorship Licenses and ensure the effective use of technology within the function.
  • Prepare board reports for the Directors and regularly review and update HR policies and procedures and employee documentation in line with changes in practice or legislation.
  • Plan, lead on, and implement projects as agreed with the Directors, such as the development of agreed company values and standards and value-based recruitment tools.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a full CIPD HR qualification (Level 7 ideally), or higher HR qualification, and a Level educated or equivalent as minimum. University degree is preferable. You should have relevant experience in leading an HR function and achieving positive results, with a proven ability to effectively engage with a range of stakeholders. You should also have strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workload.
