So come and make your career at McCain Foods.ABOUT THE ROLE:Whilst working as part of a team within the Receiving department the Technical Operative is responsible for ensuring potato intake operates effectively and that a continuous supply of potatoes meets planned schedule to quality requirements.Key tasks of the role include but are not limited to:Technical aspects of the department blending processes bin management achieving production requirements for the peelerMaking technical adjustments as required for efficient running calibrating fault finding and rectifying as requiredContinually monitor and carry out tests to determine if area quality is being achieved taking preventative or corrective action when appropriate and informing all applicable parties.Input traceability production run data into computer systemContribute to risk assessments audits and the development and improvement of quality controlsYard management including receiving loads carrying out checks driver management and maintaining cleanliness standardsRoutine sampling of raw material checking potato passport recording of data and liaising with production and the Receiving Front Line Manager on specification achievementsActioning and maintaining rejection dataOperation of wet and dry bins to ensure equipment operates efficientlySet up of Celox and scout camera SKU dependantWaste management of the receiving areaWHAT WERE LOOKING FORThe ideal candidate will be someone with experience of working in a Receiving/Intake role within a food manufacturing environment with great communication skills and attention to detail.WHATS IN IT FOR YOU Although we do encourage you to taste the goods youll be pleased to know we dont pay you in chips. If youve spotted our three wind turbines then youll know where we are With about 350 employees on site were one of our largest plants across the GB business.
