Interim Internal Comms Manager

Circa £250 per day (Inside IR35)

Initial 3 month contract in a hybrid working environment based in West Yorkshire (1-2 days on site)

Macmillan Davies are looking to attract an interim Internal Communications Manager to support a large business going through change in the West Yorkshire area for an initial period of 3 months.

The role, reporting in to the Head of Internal Comms, will fit in to a small team handling the organisation's internal communications strategy ensuring that employees are aware and excited about what is happening within the business.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Managing and executing all aspects of the Internal communications strategy.
  • Planning and delivering internal communications for small and large projects: ranging from newsletters through to large scale employee events and everything in between.
  • Developing creative campaigns to reach colleagues across the organisation, along with lots of 'sleeves rolled-up' tactical delivery e.g. writing Workplace posts and writing broadcast emails.
  • Helping deliver change by crafting engaging, audience-focused communications that inform employees of key initiatives and their impact.
  • Developing messaging suitable for different audiences. Sharing these through most appropriate channels to drive engagement.
  • Training and sharing knowledge with internal teams and Line Managers to empower them to deliver high quality and impactful communications within their areas. Supporting when required.
  • Managing internal communication channels
  • Working with leaders to develop and create content and presentations for town halls and colleague events alongside creating regular communications from leaders to their departments.
  • Ensure appropriate communications metrics are employed to review and monitor the effectiveness of communications with the objective of continuous improvement.

Role Requirements:

  • We are looking to attract somebody who can bring demonstrable experience in a similar internal communications role. Ideally having had experience of integrating into a team and establishing themselves quickly. You will be expected to juggle numerous projects at any one time with expertise developing and delivering multi-channel internal communications campaigns.
  • Due to the immediate nature of this role, we require somebody able to commence the role at relatively short notice.
  • Experience gained in the Housing sector would be beneficial but not essential.
