Irwin & Colton has been engaged on a new opportunity to recruit for a well-established social housing organisation across specifically focusing across the North of the UK. The position they are looking to bring onboard is an Interim Health and Safety Manager to work alongside the existing Health and Safety team and, to drive a positive health and safety culture and provide support across the organisation.
Responsibilities of the Interim Health and Safety Manager will include:
Leading on the development and maintenance of the health and safety management systems, policies, procedures, and safety accreditations.
Co-ordinate and communicate health and safety activities and training across the business for colleagues at all levels
Leading a small team and ensuring that compliance is maintained across the function
Accurately analysing and reporting on health and safety performance and communicating this across the organisationThe successful Interim Health and Safety Manager will have:
Proven health and safety experience within the wider property space, ideally within social housing or facilities management (experience/knowledge in construction environments is a plus)
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and relevant membership of IOSH
Good communications skills and a positive and pragmatic attitude to problem solving within Health and Safety
