Internal Sales Coordinator

We are working with an extremely well-known, European leading organisation on the lookout for an Internal Sales Coordinator to join their team in Warwick. This is an incredible opportunity to join a great company within a fantastic team.

As an Internal Sales Coordinator you will carry out project co-ordination on a cross departmental scale, involving correct internal/external project stakeholders, developing new and repeat business for company products across various sectors, in addition to providing excellent support to the company’s sales team with the goal to develop profitable business by positioning the company with decision makers and influencers at all stages of the design, procurement & execution process.

You will be working closely with contractors, M&E sub-contractors, pre-fabrication partners, national and independent merchant customers as a key point of contact leading the co-ordination of complex projects, issuing project quotations & cost estimates as required.

With a strong worth ethic, you will be responsible for low level account management strategy, seeking new product opportunities, developing relationships with both existing and new contractors to ensure company products become the manufacturer of choice on all projects. This will also involve converting competitor specifications to products across multiple project segments and/or protecting company specs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop relationships with both existing and new contractors to ensure company products become the manufacturer of choice on all projects. This will also involve converting competitor specifications to products across multiple segments.
  • Work with merchant customer estimating offices, managing all relevant sales enquiries to the point of order conversion. This will include quotation conversion and outcome tracking.
  • Ensure maintenance of the Company CRM system (Customer details, Call activity & Projects) in line with Company requirements.
  • Convert specified projects, working in conjunction with internal teams to achieve agreed targets
  • Develop and present annual sales plans that clearly define opportunity for growth and enable the creation of an accurate sales forecast for your account allocation
  • Manage account activity, proactively contact and record information as allocated, following up on project quotations generated to provide conversion outcome

Project Support

  • To have full accountability for the coordination of required projects with particular emphasis on:
  • Utilising industry media and group systems to research and record project updates
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders to help support conversion rates and retain key customers
  • Meet all key criteria aligned with the project life cycle, ensuring excellent communication and information throughout
  • Maintain up to date information on CRM and produce key project metrics as required
  • Ensure key stakeholders are kept informed of project challenges and updates as appropriate
  • Booking in product deliveries with contractors on-site alongside other relevant 3rd party stakeholders
  • Support KAM's with relevant account secured project(s) insight

Pricing Support (as required)

  • Responding to pricing enquiries accurately and promptly liaising with the Sales team to ensure customer pricing strategy is adhered to for every quote produced - where necessary
  • Qualify all opportunities to ensure they meet outlined requirements
  • Ensure quotations are updated and sent to relevant customers to ensure they hold up to date company support offers
  • Produce documentation that is 100% accurate and reflects the information requested by customers (Internal & External)
  • Work closely with internal depts to ensure Right First Time on all quotations produced (Claims, Customer Support)
  • Escalate any issues to the Team Leader and/or Dept Manager
  • Support contract extension/expiry process - ensure all relevant quotations are updated and sent to relevant customers, and where expired the customer has received communication

CRM

  • Use the company CRM system fully to accurately record and track project detail, maintaining and ensuring:
  • Data integrity and accuracy
  • Tasks and actions are kept up to date
  • Update relevant project information

KEY SKILLS

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above (or relevant experience in role as determined above)
  • Construction industry - preferably with a manufacturer / merchant
  • CRM (MS Dynamics, Salesforce)
  • Managing key focus accounts liaising with contractors, developers and builders merchants
  • Previous account management experience in a fast-paced commercial business
