The Sales team at Calor Gas are looking to recruit an engaging and proactive Internal Sales Professional

The role will also involve acquisition (new business) and retention work to drive net customer growth and increase sales across Calor’s full portfolio of products (cylinder and bulk). This will require the ability to build relationships both internally and externally and the ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment that is target led.

In order to successfully on-board new business won, Internal Sales Professionals will work closely with a number of key stakeholders, including the field sales team, operations and customer service. Success in this role will be measured by increased;
- Customer creation
- Customer retention
- Volume and conversion rate of outbound calls made.
- Conversion rate of inbound calls received.
- Improved data capture and customer insight

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Increasing customer creation through the conversion of new business along the full sales journey through distance selling channels
- Through pro-active outbound calling, increase customer retention of existing customers with targeted and attractive propositions to renew their contract with Calor
- Clearly identify and quantify potential customer needs through a strong understanding of Calor products and services
- Ensure a positive customer service attitude in interactions with all customers
- Ensure that the relevant “Value proposition” is clearly communicated to and understood by the customer
- Work with the field sales force to ensure that any new customer converted has been correctly surveyed and meets LPG siting and usage requirements
- Build networks specifiers and installer groups to generate third party referrals to Calor
- Constantly update product and safety knowledge
- Contribute to the Calor safety culture by ensuring acting in a safe and responsible manner
- Accurately capture and feedback customer insight in a structured manner to help develop future customer propositions and to provide broader market insight

**As such we would like you to have/be**:

- Hold A-Level education (or equivalent)
- Be able to draw on experience of distance selling, specifically over the telephone within a customer centre environment, utilising multi-channel contact methods
- Have a strong track record of delivery in sales and retail activities
- Demonstrate the ability to create positive, sustainable relationships with key stakeholders
- Have a pro-active and analytical approach with the ability to maintain excellent customer service levels through understanding your customers’ motivations
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers
- Possess self-motivation and be target focused, achieving goal and objectives
- Be able to draw on the ability to persuade and influence
- Have tangible experience of delivering results and meeting customer expectations
- Demonstrates the ability to adapting and respond to change, coping with pressures and setbacks
- Demonstrates awareness of the market and demonstrates an awareness of opportunities for new business
