Clinical Assessor- Northern Ireland Full-time Part-time (30 hours per week) Company Description Discover a new kind of career in healthcare as a Clinical Assessor Working in healthcare and looking for a change? If you are a fully registered medical practitioner, a psychologist, a registered nurse, an occupational therapist, a physiotherapist, or a social worker- you could use your skills in a different way as a clinical assessor. Working with our client, you will embark on a rewarding career, utilising your core skills as a healthcare professional in an entirely different way. In January 2020 the Victims' Payment Regulations 2020 (the 2020 Regulations) were published and the Department of Justice (DoJ) was designated to administer the scheme. In 2021, TPDPS opened for applications from those living with permanent physical or psychological injury caused by a Troubles-Related Incident (TRI) and posthumous applications. The purpose of the scheme is to acknowledge the harm suffered by those injured in the Troubles and promote reconciliation between people in connection with Northern Ireland's troubled past. As a clinical assessor you will undertake clinical functional assessments for applicants to the Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme to determine the level of permanent disablement caused by a Trouble Related Incident(s) and produce a structured assessment report to the Victim's Payments Board (VPB) decision makers. Job Description We're looking with people with compassion and mental health experience to bring our applicants through the disablement assessment process. We need people with great computer skills, impartiality and strong functional assessment and time management skills. What you'll be doing: Meet face to face both physically and/or virtually and review available medical evidence from applicants to the scheme to determine the permanence of an applicant's condition and their percentage disablement. Play a pro-active role in seeking insight and further medical evidence as required from GP's, other healthcare professionals or services to support the applicant's TPDPS application. Gather relevant information, where applicable from the applicant and or representative, and analyse and interpret clinical information along with any other supporting evidence.
