This role requires a strategic and proven Head of Planning & Logistics to lead and oversee the function, supporting a complex, and growing manufacturing operation in Lancashire. The candidate will be responsible for the performance of both planning and logistics, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness at all times.

Description

As the Head of Planning & Logistics you will,

  • Oversee all planning and logistics operations supporting a multisite footprint in the Lancashire area
  • Review current practices across all business units, and implement effective strategies to increase performance, with the support of other key functions
  • Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals, building engagement, capability, and succession planning where needed
  • Collaborate and support other functions to ensure operational alignment, and buy in
  • Develop key performance indicators to share across the organisation to demonstrate value delivery and improve accountability
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders, sharing operation and strategic vision

Profile

A successful Head of Planning & Logistics should have:

  • Proven in a leadership role within a complex, manufacturing based operation across a large headcount
  • Excellent knowledge of planning (supply / production / demand) and logistics, with the ability to restructure / implement new processes / systems across multisite environments
  • Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with stakeholders, contributing to a senior leadership team

Job Offer
