About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join a event caterer/agency based in Surrey. This company is renowned for delivering exceptional catering services to some of the UKs leading ODC Events, Weddings and Corporate Parties.


As the Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of the business by securing new venues, expanding into greenfield sites, and managing large-scale accounts. Your will need a strong network within agency, direct corporates and DMCs


Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on introducing the caterer to new venues, greenfield sites, and large-scale corporate clients. agents and DMCs.
  • Client Relationship Management: Leverage your existing network of contacts within the event industry to secure meetings and build strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets, with a focus on high-end luxury events.
  • Venue and Client Engagement: Confidently represent the brand, ensuring a personable and professional approach.
  • Event Planning Support: Occasionally assist in the planning and creative development of events, ensuring that all client needs are met, including food, decor, and overall event design.
  • Creative Quotations: Work with clients to provide creative and accurate quotes that align with their vision and budget, particularly for high-budget events requiring unique and innovative solutions.
  • Bonus Scheme: Benefit from a generous bonus scheme that rewards the successful acquisition of new business.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: Proven track record in business development within the event industry, preferably with a network of contacts corporate clients, agencies and DMCs.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Highly personable, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and venues.
  • Sales Acumen: Strong sales skills with a proactive approach to securing new business and achieving revenue targets.
  • Creativity: A passion for food and a creative mindset, with the ability to contribute to the planning and design of bespoke events.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with event spaces and the ability to navigate the event market and latest trends.
