Main Purpose of the Job


Biosynth are passionate about sharing information, both internally and externally, as we continue to grow and develop. We are currently looking for a Communications Specialist, to cover maternity leave on a part time basis. The successful applicant will be an excellent writer, listener and researcher acting as a sort of company journalist. The main responsibilities will be generating content for internal newsletters, corporate communications and whitepapers. Talking with key internal stakeholder and experts, collaborators and customers, the communications specialist will engage and inform across and outside our global organization.



Key Responsibilities



  • Generate content for internal newsletters, corporate communications and whitepapers
  • Talking with key internal stakeholder and experts, collaborators and customers, the communications specialist will engage and inform across and outside our global organization
  • Meet with and interview operational and technical leads across global organization to generate engaging and informative content for internal newsletters
  • Collect success stories and prepare them into content for internal and external audiences
  • Research key industry issues and trends and prepare reports
  • Write company content for website, blog and social media channels
  • Supported by scientific and technical writers, generate whitepapers and insights into key areas
  • Work with key senior stakeholders in creating corporate external communications including assisting with press releases and associated corporate communications
  • Meet with and interview customers and collaborators as required to generate content.



Candidate Requirements



  • BA level education desirable but not essential
  • Experience of writing content for online or print is essential
  • It would be advantageous to have experience working within corporate communications or journalism.
  • Experience of scientific companies is advantageous but not essential.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English, both verbal and written
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to write engaging content to high standard.
  • Good team working skills and the ability to collaborate with others
  • Good IT awareness and skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A flexible, can-do attitude
  • A proactive and creative thinker
  • Ability to speak any additional languages spoken at Biosynth global sites would also be advantageous but not essential.




This role will be 0.6 FTE. These hours can be spread over 4 days or 3 full days.

The role can be a remote working position,
