Salary:£34,000.00 per annum, plus company car or car allowance Location:Wellington, Somerset with agile working. Regular travel required, predominantly across Cornwall. Working Hours:Core Hours are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09001700. Due to the nature of the role, there will be a need for flexibility around working hours, to include some unsociable hours in the evening. We're proud to make a difference for all our members, by shaping attitudes towards British farming and leading the charge on a range of major issues, from climate change and food standards to rural crime and broadband rollout.Purpose of the role & how you will contribute:Working as part of the TB team, youll be contributing to the delivery of the NFUs strategic aim of eradicating Bovine TB.Whilst providing specialist advice, knowledge and support to NFU colleagues and members on a variety of TB control measures and helping to manage the effect on individual farm businesses, your role will also have a particular focus in co-ordinating the delivery of a large-scale badger vaccination project in the Southwest. Working closely with landowners, farmers and other key stakeholders, youll play a critical role in the project planning, co-ordination, delivery and reporting, bringing together results to help influence and develop an evidence-based approach to future delivery.What youll bring:With a relevant degree and proven expertise and experience in your specialist area, youll ideally have an agricultural background and will be used to working with farmers or food producers. Youll be an articulate communicator and negotiator with a keen eye for detail and the ability to research, analyse and collate complex issues clearly.
