Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a new challenge in the legal industry? Our client, a prestigious and dynamic organisation, is seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join their team on a temporary contract of 6 months. This is your chance to contribute your expertise and support the smooth financial operations of our client.

?? Competitive Hourly Rate: £12.50 - £13.50ph paid on a weekly basis through Office Angels

?? 35 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

�? Location: Outskirts of Newcastle City Centre

?? Immediate Start Available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily banking of cheques received via post to achieve cut-off time for delivery to the bank.
  • Produce daily client and office bank account cheque payments and complete relevant postings to the finance system.
  • Process cheque slip rejections for those requests not processed with reasons for rejections.
  • Process daily bank transfers between group bank accounts and process related entries onto the finance system.
  • Raise daily client bills.
  • Process daily disbursement write-offs and update the write-off report.
  • Process daily BACS receipts.
  • Produce daily client and office bank account BACS payments and complete relevant postings to the finance system.
  • Resolve helpdesk queries allocated in a timely manner.
  • Comply with tasks as allocated by the Operational Processing Manager.

  • Previous experience in accounts or finance role
  • Knowledge of banking processes and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in using accounting software
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
