Job Summary: We are seeking an ambitious and qualified Accounting Assistant to join our team at Fletcher George Recruitment Ltd. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients with their accounting and bookkeeping needs.

About the Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, producing year-end accounts, and assisting with bookkeeping, including ledger maintenance and bank reconciliations. You will also be involved in corporation tax calculations and ad-hoc financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and corporation tax returns
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including ledger maintenance and bank reconciliations
  • Provide financial support to clients, including financial analysis and reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly VAT returns

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to be AAT qualified or actively studying towards your AAT qualification. You will also need to have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
