Mass Spectrometry Scheduler – Permanent – York – On-Site

If you said to the above, this Mass Spectrometry Scheduler role could be an excellent role for you.


SRG are supporting a bioanalytical business with finding a brand new Mass Spectrometry Scheduler. You will be highly organised, able to manage a range of different testing and study needs and balance these with the needs of the business. You will know everything that is going on within the testing labs and be able to manage last minute change and ever changing client needs.

You will need a good understanding of different Mass Spectrometers, preferably having run these in a highly regulated environment and use your knowledge of the staff capabilities, equipment availability and different types of Mass Spec machinery to create a 5-day rolling schedule as well as creating a longer term overview of needs and scheduling. You will also support the business with other operational activities that support them completing studies for Pharma and biotech customers.


To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have prior experience working with Mass Spectrometers or in an analytical laboratory
  • Relevant degree in a scientific subject (or considerable lab experience in lieu of this)
  • Experienced with highly regulated lab environments (GLP, GCP, GMP etc)
  • Be highly computer literate, with advanced excel techniques
  • Be an excellent communicator with ability to interact with all different levels of people
  • Be very confident with change, working in an agile way
  • Be highly organised and able to balance multiple needs and projects


This role is an on-site role, to be in the mix with others and be able to adapt to the changing daily needs. We are not able to provide visa sponsorship for this position .
