Citadel Source is delighted to be working with a global brand within the product manufacturing space in Gloucestershire to recruit a high-quality, commercial Controller to sit within their global head office within one of their high-performing divisions.


As a dual-focused business partner, this role will focus on both the operational and commercial elements of finance, working with the leadership to improve the general running of the business and financial objectives, improving the relationship between finance and the other areas of the organisation like the Commercial team, HR, Supply Chain, overseeing decision making in regards to management of cashflow and working capital availability in relation to stock, all the way through to supporting on contract negotiations and large business tenders, whilst continually business partnering in all areas in between.



About you


You will be an experienced Site Controller, Business Partner or senior FP&A professional working in a business that physically makes products as this role will interact with both supply chain and production. The successful candidate will also have or be interested in working with non-technical teams, working with HR, Commercial and other back-office functions to improve the flow of information and improve the quality of MI for decision-making purposes. The successful candidate will be used to making impactful decisions and working alongside senior stakeholders as this role will work alongside the Division’s managing Director to refine and drive strategy, as well as constantly seeking areas of continuous improvement. You will work with a team within the division to ensure the divisions accounts are on time and delivered to the Group for consolidation and wider financial elements are designated to the appropriate team member and delivered.



As the Lead Divisional Finance Business Partner your role will include but not be limited to:


  • Contribute to the definition of the strategy for the Division. Serving as the key business partner to the leadership team
  • Be the expert for the business in all processes, data and information, improving the flow of quality data to inform decision-making.
  • Providing analysis and insight into past, current and future performance, both operational and financial
  • Translate strategy into business plans and establish agreed measurable targets. Lead the business planning and forecasting processes for the Division and deliver to Group Finance on time and in full.
  • Actively manage working capital with the Group Finance Director and wider leadership team.
  • Deliver the monthly management accounts on time and in full. To include a full understanding of the result versus budget and prior year, all balance sheet items and cash flow movements.
  • Ensure transparency in financial reporting and disclosures.
  • Define and implement internal controls regarding financial and non-financial operations.
  • Lead, provide guidance and facilitate best practice sharing across the business and the wider Group.
