This crucial role supports the core IT infrastructure across our EMEAA regional locations, combining1st/2nd Level Technical Supportwith hands-on responsibilities in thedevelopment, administration, and delivery of key network and server projects .You will be vital in minimizing downtime, maintaining security, and supporting our business stakeholders in adopting new technologies.Role Title:Infrastructure Engineer & Support Specialist Location:Westerham, Kent Salary:£34,000 - £37,000 per annum Hours of Work:37.5 hours per week Contract Type:Permanent, Full Time Reporting Into:Head of Technology Operations (EMEAA)Key Responsibilities This is a dual-focus role covering both core infrastructure management and end-user support.Infrastructure & OperationsDesign, deploy, configure, and maintainIT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage solutions, and cloud environments. Managevirtualized environments (V-center) , ensuring optimal resource allocation for virtual machines and containers. Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software infrastructure issues. Maintain system security and performance through regularpatchingand software updates. Strong knowledge and operational support forVLANs, Firewalls (Fortinet), Backup solutions, Print Servers, and Anti-virussystems.End-User & Technical SupportProvide1st and 2nd level technical supportto end-users across the organization for desktop systems, networks, and infrastructure services. Diagnose and fix issues related to operating systems ( Windows, Linux, macOS ), applications, and network connectivity. Assist withonboarding new employees(workstation setup, email configuration) and provide initial technical training. Asset Management , including building IT equipment to required standards. Document solutions, create user guides, and maintain a knowledge base to improve future troubleshooting.What You Will Already HaveExperience & Education:A two- or four-year college degree with an emphasis on Computer Science or Business Data Processing, along withfive years of experiencein a relevant field. Microsoft Proficiency:Certified in or strong working knowledge ofMicrosoft Server(installation, Active Directory, Remote Administration, Configuration, Security) and theMicrosoft Office 365 Suite . Network & Security:Strong knowledge ofVLANs, Firewalls, Fortinet, V-center, Backup solutions, and Anti-virussystems. Operating Systems:Proficiency in administering common operating systems ( Windows 10/11, Linux, macOS ) and experience withActive Directory, Group Policy, and LDAP . Technical Skills:Strong troubleshooting skillsacross hardware, software, networking, and cloud platforms. Experience withendpoint management solutions (SCCM, Intune, etc.)and monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix). Support & Process:Familiarity withticketing systems(JIRA, ServiceNow, etc.) and knowledge ofITSM/ITIL practicesfor managing service requests and change management. Soft Skills:Excellentproblem-solving, listening, and teamwork skills .
