About you and the role

We are looking for a dynamic and talented leader to drive the effectiveness of our research and to help us understand the impact we have on preventing child sexual abuse and protecting children from harm. It’s essential we gather data and insight that helps us improve what we do, building on what works and changing what doesn’t while also helping us demonstrate the impact we have to other organisations and government departments – and we’re looking for someone to help us do this.

With the support of a small team, you will provide expertise to move our work beyond a focus on the successes of individual programmes, towards ensuring that all the charity’s activities are anchored in our strategic objectives and informed by evidence, data and insights.

Reporting to the CEO, this role will set us up to learn from all aspects of our work, amplify those insights and ensure that we are equipped to grow the evidence base for the difference we can make to creating a world free from child sexual abuse.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on talented Research & Impact Director or someone who has managed a large team in the area of research, data and impact and is ready to step up to their first Director role. We would also consider applicants with a clinical background who wish to maintain their clinical practice whilst carrying out this important role for the charity.

This is a critical new role for the charity and the successful candidate will be responsible for building our research, evaluation and impact function, having the proven experience to bring strong analytical, reporting and stakeholder management skills to provide robust evaluations and strategic recommendations related to our work to internal and external audiences.

What you’ll get from us

We offer hybrid working, with a minimum of 2 days working from the office, free parking, a NEST pension, 25 days annual leave rising to 30 days (plus statutory bank holidays) after 5 years’ service (in line with our leave year January-December), up to 5 days learning and development per year, an employee assistance programme and the option of Benenden medical cover.
