Job Title: Land Acquisition Manager – Renewable Energy

Location: UK Wide Remote


About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Land Acquisition Manager to join our team at a leading renewable energy Independent Power Producer (IPP). In this critical role, you will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and securing land for utility-scale solar and wind projects, ensuring a robust pipeline of development opportunities.


You will work closely with internal teams and landowners to secure key land agreements, helping drive the company’s renewable energy projects through the development phase and contributing to our goal of building a cleaner, more sustainable future.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify suitable land for solar and wind energy projects, working within regulatory and environmental guidelines.
  • Negotiate and secure land agreements with landowners, ensuring favourable terms for project development.
  • Manage relationships with landowners, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Support the project development team in securing planning permissions and permits.
  • Conduct site assessments, due diligence, and feasibility studies.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of local, regional, and national land regulations and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with the internal development team to ensure projects progress through pre-construction milestones.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in land acquisition, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of land agreements, legal frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage with landowners and other key stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successfully securing land for large-scale energy projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills for conducting site assessments and feasibility studies.
