Do you have an export/transportation/booking type background and are you seeking a new role? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative company recruit a Shipping Coordinator, and the contract role comes with an attractive hourly rate.
This role sits within the Supply Chain team based in Peterborough. You will be a key player in planning, arranging and processing shipments to the company's global customer base.
If you were already in this Shipping Coordinator role, here are some of the areas you would have been working in this week:
- Arrange for shipments of products to be despatched to customers based on available product
- Work with carriers and customers to agree on collection schedules
- Send all relevant documentation for the shipments to the necessary contacts
- Prepare, submit and record the export entry for goods sent overseas

- Knowledge of issues, procedures, tools and practices of importing and exporting
- Knowledge of transportation; ability to transport materials and goods to manufacturing facilities and customers
