Location - Sandwich, Kent

Salary - £12.50 - £13.50 per hour DOE

Hours - Part-Time, 25-30 hours per week (client is flexible with hours)

Our client is a very well-established engineering manufacturer whose core products are supplied to more than 50 countries. They manufacture and supply an extensive range of cutting-edge precision technology directly to end users and offer a comprehensive capability as a prime supplier.

They are currently looking for a HR Administrator to join their expanding team working at their great manufacturing facility in Sandwich, Kent.

This is a great opportunity for a strong administrator who is looking to start a career within HR. Support with HR training could be offered for the right candidate.

A Day in the Life of the HR Administrator

  • Perform general administrative duties requiring excellent organisational skills, including maintaining electronic and paper personnel files.
  • Handle confidential data and information in compliance with GDPR, and assist with creating and maintaining HR documents, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Support HR projects such as employee engagement surveys, manage employee training records, and assist with training allocation.
  • Coordinate internal visits for interviews, prepare recruitment documentation, and assist with the HR onboarding process.
  • Organise staff social and engagement events, update structure charts and notice boards, and maintain internal systems such as TMS and HRM.

Person specifications for the role of HR Administrator

  • Must have previous high-quality office administration (2 years’ experience minimum)
  • The ability to work on own initiative with limited requirements for direction is essential for the role
  • Will be able to demonstrate discretion and an under-client, company discretionary behaviour
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ideally, will be a team player who can take direction and be assertive
  • Excellent organisational skills are required for this role
  • Must be proficient in using MS Word, Outlook and Excel Excellent written and verbal English communication, taking minutes and note-taking
  • The ability to multitask under pressure
  • Be committed to continuous improvement methodology
