Position Overview:

The Head of Wholesale will be responsible for overseeing and expanding our wholesale business, driving strategic growth through partnerships with retailers, distributors, and other wholesale channels. You will lead the wholesale sales team, develop and execute go-to-market strategies, and work cross-functionally to ensure the growth and profitability of our health and beauty product range in the wholesale space.



Key Responsibilities:

Wholesale Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive wholesale strategy aligned with the overall business goals and growth targets.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing wholesale team to meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Identify and target new wholesale accounts, including large retailers, specialty stores, distributors, and online marketplaces.
  • Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to drive strategic decisions and product positioning in the wholesale channel.

Partnership & Account Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale partners and stakeholders, including major retailers and buying groups.
  • Negotiate and manage wholesale agreements, pricing structures, terms, and promotional campaigns.
  • Monitor account performance, identify opportunities for growth, and address any issues or challenges in a timely manner.

Sales & Revenue Growth:

  • Drive revenue growth within the wholesale channel by identifying new opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and growing our core offering business.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective promotional strategies and sales materials tailored to wholesale partners.
  • Monitor sales performance, KPIs, and forecasts, and report regularly to senior management on results, trends, and opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure product availability, consistency in branding, and effective promotional campaigns for wholesale channels.
  • Coordinate with the logistics and operations teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment, inventory management, and timely deliveries.

Market Insights & Reporting:

  • Provide regular insights on market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences within the wholesale sector.
  • Use data analytics to track sales, customer behaviour, and ROI, and adjust strategies accordingly.



Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in wholesale sales, business development, or a similar role within the health and beauty industry, FMCG, or related fields.
  • Strong track record of driving wholesale revenue growth and managing key retailer relationships.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex partnerships and contracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of the health and beauty market, including trends, customer preferences, and retail channels.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to forecast, budget, and interpret sales data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
