Accounts Payable & Receivable Manager | PE Backed Company | Salary £50,000 + bonus


I am currently partnered with a PE backed company who are looking for someone to come and join the growing team, this role will work closely with the Head of Finance and you will lead a small team of 2 direct reports. For this role you will be looking at the current processes and improving on these while supporting and developing the current team members.


This is a very exciting time to join the company as they are getting more investment and will be looking at growing across the UK and EMEA region. You will sit within the Group function and work closely with the various entities streamlining processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Line manage a team of 2 staff.
  • Dispute Resolution: Take the lead in ensuring prompt resolution to supplier queries and maintain tight credit control, escalating issues where required.
  • Process Champion: Act as owner of several key business policies and proactively collaborate with the wider business to ensure compliance.
  • Group-wide collaboration: Work closely with AP and Finance colleagues in other territories to drive group efficiencies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Ongoing review of AP/AR processes to improve efficiency, embed best practice and ensure compliance with Group internal controls and policies.
  • Month-End: Work closely with the Financial Controller to support month end close, including reconciliation of sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations, internal and external audit support and other ad hoc tasks.
  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular AP/AR KPI reporting back to senior finance team to deliver insight and help drive improved.
  • Management: Support weekly cash forecasting deliverables – providing clear data with commentary on key movements.


Key Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in managing AP/AR processes, with an understanding of what great looks like.
  • Able to build strong relationships with colleagues across the business and externals.
  • A strong people manager, able to mentor, motivate and develop a small team
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy with an organised, methodical approach
  • Autonomous and proactive, able to implement change and question the status quo


This role is hybrid working and 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
