JOB PURPOSE

This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to join our team The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our purchasing department though the life cycle of various processes, while also being responsible for the management of health and safety protocols, overseeing their compliance across the business.


As our Purchasing Assistant you will strive to understand customer needs and facilitate the experience Welcomm offers its clients. You will become a trusted advisor to colleagues across the business’ departments, be able to adapt accordingly, propose solutions and make logical decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To manage inventory.
  • To carry out purchasing & procurement within the business.
  • To manage supplier relationships.
  • To perform/manage stock takes and rotations.
  • To complete regular reviews of department processes and manage business compliance.
  • To manage order processing life cycle from request to invoice.
  • To evaluate costs and eliminate risks to the business.
  • To look after facilities requirements and coordinate contracts and renewals.
  • To manage the health and safety policies/regulations and ensure business compliance, overseeing any training requirements.


ABOUT YOU

  • Ideally, you will have experience within purchasing and be a fast learner, open to new ideas and coaching. (experience preferred but not essential).
  • Ideally, you will have health and safety experience, will be a qualified first aider and have knowledge of safety regulations within business practices. (preferred but full training will be provided for exceptional candidates without direct experience).
  • You will have a passion for customer excellence and have the ability to adapt to business and customer needs.
  • You will have the ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure adapting accordingly to business needs.
  • You will be someone who is able to build rapport quickly with colleagues across the business’ departments, be able to actively listen to identify any needs and be a trusted advisor, able to propose solutions and make logical decisions.
  • You will be proficient in Microsoft Suite.
