Our client, a prominent player in the asset management industry, is seeking a motivated Telesales professional to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial for driving new business initiatives and enhancing client relationships, particularly with financial intermediaries such as Financial Advisers and Wealth Managers. Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for achieving monthly business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the Head of Internal Sales & Client Service. You will engage in proactive outreach, attend industry events, and maintain strong relationships with financial services intermediaries. Your technical expertise will be essential in addressing queries and promoting our client’s diverse product offerings.


What you will be working on

  • Cold calling prospective and existing financial services intermediaries
  • Hit and guard the Sales team business targets and KPI’s related to proactive calls
  • Generating a pipeline of new opportunities to manage actively and directly through face-to-face meetings at industry events
  • Work closely with Regional Sales colleagues to nurture new key relationships of the future
  • Share insights and professional opinion during internal sales meetings
  • Accurately maintain CRM system for new business development
  • Attending Business Development meetings, conferences and group events
  • Respond to technical inquiries from intermediaries and maintain a robust understanding of our client’s product range to support sales efforts.
  • Uphold integrity and professionalism, ensuring compliance with regulations and prioritizing customer interests.


What you bring to the table

  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Significant experience working in a sales-based role in an asset management company or financial intermediary company, selling to financial intermediaries such as Financial Advisers and Wealth Managers.
  • A strong working knowledge of the various investment products, including open-ended and closed-ended funds and model portfolios
  • A strong knowledge of investment products and financial markets and the ability to apply this knowledge effectively to communications when promoting equities, fixed income, absolute return and multi asset funds and trusts, alongside model portfolio services
  • A solid understanding of Compliance frameworks
  • Strong mathematical, analytical and numeracy skills
  • Understanding of regulatory environment surrounding Asset Management and products
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, IT and MS Office
