Our client, a leading law firm with offices in the heart of Newcastle, are recruiting for a Clinical Risk Paralegal to join their team. The role would suit a paralegal who has ideally gained 2 years' experience within a defendant clinical risk department, though candidates with claimant clinical negligence experience are also encouraged to apply. Previous clinical risk/ negligence experience is essential for this role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling their own caseload of litigated and pre-litigated clinical risk cases, acting on behalf of the NHS and other medical providers, as well as supporting Solicitors on more complex higher value clinical risk work.

Responsibilities include reviewing medical evidence, dealing with correspondence, instructing experts, drafting witness statements, completion of legal documents, instructing counsel and negotiating settlement.

Salary to £27,000 dependent on experience.

Hybrid working.

Extensive benefits package.
