We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Repair Operations Finance Business Partner to join our esteemed team. This high-profile role is pivotal in supporting the FMG and FMG RS Managing Director and their team – part of ZIGUP group - by delivering insightful financial advice and analytical decision support. By building strong relationships across the FMG and FMG RS Senior Management Teams, the Repair Operations Finance Business Partner will act as a trusted adviser, driving improved decision-making and ensuring the sustainable success of our business. With the confidence to challenge the status quo and develop innovative solutions, you will play a key role in our strategic growth.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will serve as the crucial link between finance and the business, offering business advice, decision support, cost control, and performance analysis. You will own the revenue budget and periodic forecasts in this varied and fast-paced role. Ad hoc analysis will form a significant portion of your workload, and your ability to support, influence, and challenge the decision-making process will be essential. You will lead the Finance Business Partner Team for Repair Operations, overseeing a team of two part-qualified accountants and ensuring their continuous skill development and performance.

Your responsibilities will include designing and continuously improving financial and KPI reporting frameworks across the business, providing relevant commentaries, and transforming data into valuable insights. You will focus on maximizing FTE efficiency and lead the annual and periodic forecasting processes for the entire business, regions, and individual bodyshops. Additionally, you will provide guidance on maximizing revenue, profit, and ROCE, identify opportunities for significant business performance improvements, and support strategic Executive initiatives with comprehensive analysis and recommendations. Your proactive insights and information will be crucial in advising and supporting the Repair Operations management teams, ensuring timely and accurate decision-making.

Salary – £45,000 to £50,000 based on experience, enhanced by a generous car allowance (or company car option) and bonus.

About You

  • First and foremost you will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) with solid business partnering experience and the ability to offer value adding insight
  • You’ll have a commercial awareness, and understand the key drivers of our business and how they interact
  • You’ll have experience of establishing professional and positive relationships with a range of stakeholders of varying seniority, with an ability to influence stakeholders towards positive outcomes
  • Any knowledge of fleet repair or experience in supporting a multi-site operational function is advantageous but not essential and you may have experience across a variety of sectors with transferable skills
