Role description

We are looking for a FOG Operations Manager to join our expanding Drainage Operations team at GreaseTech Drainage Solutions Limited. This full-time role will play a key part in managing and delivering our specialist Grease Management and Drainage Hybrid services as we continue to grow our client portfolio.


About the role

  • Manage the daily FOG (fat, oil and grease) operations of the business.
  • Produce and submit quotes to clients, working closely with our internal and external sales teams.
  • Perform FOG surveys for clients and handle scheduling and planning for all FOG projects and preventative maintenance works (PPM).
  • Coordinate the development of key performance goals for various functions and direct reports.
  • Ensure the delivery of top-quality service offerings to clients and engage in key customer activities.
  • Play a key role in hiring decisions and managing the Grease Management Operatives team.
  • Oversee the technical support for field-based engineers and manage HR-related tasks such as holiday bookings and staff appraisals.
  • Ensure timely maintenance and repair of plant and equipment, escalating issues and reporting them to clients when necessary.


Health and safety responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain risk assessments and method statements for office and engineering teams.
  • Handle citation requests, incident reports and queries related to health and safety matters.


Additional responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic FOG management plan for the business.
  • Evaluate and make key recommendations for future business investments in equipment, infrastructure and talent.
  • Support the development of a healthy internal culture, promoting employee retention and professional growth.

 

Key requirements

  • Experience in managing operations within drainage, wastewater, or grease management (advantageous but not essential).
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and client engagement abilities.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with scheduling and planning of projects.
  • Must have a valid driving license.
