Job Description SummaryJob DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities:Driving suppliers to ensure on time material delivery for all engines.Work with internal & external suppliers to drive improvements and reduction of waste.Work key material visit process and effective key decisions to maintain material availability for Gate 3.Key driver of quality & compliance within material function.Following escalation processes to ensure that key personnel are informed of critical pacing parts on engines and following GE Management systems to gain delivery commitments and improvements.Working with the team to identify critical material issues and help support with recovery plans.Ensure supplier WIP remains on schedule; solve problems as necessary to ensure a successful delivery to support our customers.Maintaining metrics to high standard example Hold tickets billing issues & QPARsQualifications/RequirementsPrevious experience of Materials role.Effective communication skillsGood team player with flexible approach and effective interpersonal skillsA responsible/self-motivated person willing to make decisionsComputer literacy skills ideally with experience of windows based packages.Desired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skillsEffective problem identification and solution skillsProven ability to work well in a busy working environmentProven analytical and organisational ability.Strong understanding of SAP.Flexible WorkingGE supports and encourages flexible working arrangements where possible and recognises the benefits to employees of having a positive work-life balance.Total RewardAt GE Aerospace we understand the importance of Total Reward.
