**Job Description Summary**: This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract for Maternity Cover Position.

The Material Operations Support function will be responsible for fulfilment across varied supplier network to support the Gate 2 Materials at GE Aviation Wales.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Driving suppliers to ensure on time material delivery for all engines.
- Work with internal & external suppliers to drive improvements and reduction of waste.
- Work key material visit process and effective key decisions to maintain material availability for Gate 3.
- Key driver of quality & compliance within material function.
- Following escalation processes to ensure that key personnel are informed of critical pacing parts on engines and following GE Management systems to gain delivery commitments and improvements.
- Working with the team to identify critical material issues and help support with recovery plans.
- Ensure supplier WIP remains on schedule; solve problems as necessary to ensure a successful delivery to support our customers
- Maintaining metrics to high standard, example Hold tickets, billing issues & QPARs.

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- Previous experience of Materials role
- Desired Characteristics:

- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
- Proven ability to work well in a busy working environment
- Proven analytical and organisational ability.
- Strong understanding of SAP.

Company currently operates Hybrid Working policy. The role will be 3 days on site - 2 days at home per business needs. Days to be determined on role offering.
