Music Teacher Specialist SEN School Braintree

Role Highlights

  • Fulltime permanent Music Teacher position within an SEN school dedicated to holistic student development through creative and adaptive learning
  • Plan and deliver inspiring music lessons designed to engage students with a variety of learning needs encouraging selfexpression and building skills in a supportive environment
  • Use music as a therapeutic tool creating opportunities for students to explore their emotions develop social skills and gain confidence in a nonjudgmental fun atmosphere
  • Work closely with the SEN team to adapt music lessons to individual learning styles ensuring that each student can participate meaningfully and achieve personal milestones
  • Develop group activities such as music circles and small performances to promote teamwork social interaction and collaboration among students
  • Play an active role in school events and performances helping to cultivate a positive school culture that celebrates every students unique abilities and achievements

Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in teaching music particularly within SEN or inclusive education settings with a dedication to making music accessible for all
  • Skilled in creating adaptive therapeutic music lesson plans that can be tailored to a wide range of abilities fostering a love for music and selfexpression among students
  • Compassionate and patient teaching style with the flexibility to adjust instruction to meet the specific emotional and developmental needs of each student
  • Strong collaborative skills working with the SEN team to support individual student progress both academically and emotionally
  • Clear enhanced DBS check required to ensure a safe caring environment for students
