About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to join our team at an inclusive SEN school in Braintree.

The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching music to students with additional needs and a commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To plan and deliver music lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students, promoting self-expression and confidence-building skills.
  • To use music as a therapeutic tool, creating opportunities for students to explore their emotions and develop social skills.
  • To work collaboratively with the SEN team to adapt music lessons to individual learning styles, ensuring every student can participate meaningfully.
  • To contribute to school events and performances, promoting a positive school culture that celebrates every student's unique abilities and achievements.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in teaching music, particularly within SEN or inclusive education settings.
  • Experience in creating adaptive therapeutic music lesson plans that cater to a wide range of abilities.
  • Compassionate and patient teaching style with the ability to adjust instruction to meet individual student needs.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with experience working with SEN teams to support student progress.
  • Clear enhanced DBS check.

Salary: £42,000 - £52,000 per annum, depending on experience.
