DescriptionThe Service & Team:The Post is based within the Practice Education Team within Children & Families and will support the delivery of the Youth Transformation PilotThe Role:The Post of Youth Work Professional Lead - will Plan & Facilitate learning & training for Youth Workers / Youth Support Workers both internally and across the Voluntary and community Sector. The role will support the workforce development strand of the Youth Transformation Pilot & will also support our current & future Level 6 Youth Work Apprentices acting as Practice Supervisor. The Role will be responsible for the establishment management & promotion of qualification pathways across the youth workforce in line with the upcoming reforms to the qualification framework and will work in partnership with local regional and national partners.This post is initially for 12 months fixed term but is also available as a secondmentThis is a public/customer-facing role where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.Working Pattern:The post will be 37 hours Monday to Friday but some flexibility may be required and occasional evening workWhat youll need to succeed:JNC Qualification at level 6 and experience of working with young peopleKnowledge of the National Youth Strategy; Youth Work Curriculum;Youth Work qualification routes and of current issues and themes related to youth work and young people and are desirablePlease read the role profile for the full details of this role attached below in this advertWhat youll get in return:Cornwall Councils ambition is to be an employer of choice a high performing Council and a learning organisation.
