THE ROLE - SENIOR SALES MANAGER
The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for effectively soliciting and growing business on both a transient and group level. A great chance for a driven, seasoned and connected Senior Sales Manager to join the sales and marketing team. The Senior Sales Manager is expected to:
- Be professional at all the times
- Be a positive ambassador of The NoMad throughout your professional career with us.
- Always adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not exclusive of; H&S policies, HR policies; employee handbook.
- Because of the fluctuating demands of the companys operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of the position, they will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.
- Have good communication skills and be able to negotiate successfully while exceeding guest expectations.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The main responsibilities of the Senior Sales Manager are summarised below, the list is not exhaustive:
- Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program.
- Initiate and follow up on leads in a timely manner, showcasing their effective communication skills and negotiating successfully whilst exceeding guest and client expectations.
- Regularly contact existing accounts and contacts to drive transient and group business.
- Entertain clients including site inspections inside property, outside calls at their office, at outside venues, host FAM trips, etc.
- Meet or exceed set revenue goals across various segments within the business.
- Together with the Director of Sales and Marketing, implement the agreed rate structure and strategy for all business inquiries.
- Participate in creating the sales plan and budget; operating within established sales expense budgets.
- Logging of all calls and client information within the sales software tool.
- Monitor pace and production of all accounts and evaluate trends within your market.
- Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals as assigned by the Director of Sales.
- Assist in implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments, i.e. parties, sales blitzes, etc.
- Develop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and SOPs, and ensure knowledge of and adherence to them.
- Develop a full working knowledge of the operations of the hotel and its policies.
- Assist in the preparation of required reports in a timely manner.
- Joining sales trips where necessary and attending conferences; travel fairs etc. to be a Sales Ambassador for the hotel.
- Any other reasonable requests made by the company including the Director of Sales & Marketing; and the General Manager.
