Edinburgh, United Kingdom Adarma Security Full time

Who we are

We’re a company on a mission to protect the promise of cyber resilience. From banking and retail to food delivery and manufacturing, our team of passionate cyber defenders are committed to protecting the things that matter. We stand side-by-side with our customers every day providing innovative cybersecurity solutions that protect against threats, mitigate risk and deliver outcomes that make a remarkable difference.

We want to defend cyberspace with people who share our passion for stopping cyber criminals. We empower access to equal opportunities, hiring people and their potential, not just a job description.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a Legal Counsel. You’ll manage the delivery of legal advice and support across multiple departments and lead legal negotiations for Adarma’s sales team with our customers. You'll ensure that your advice is accurate, understandable to non-lawyers, delivered at the right time, and remains commercial while minimising legal risks.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Draft and negotiate multiple commercial contracts that are prevalent in the cyber security industry, including master services agreements, framework agreements, statements of work, software and licencing agreements and managed service outsourcing agreements.
  • Identify important legal risks, advise on their possible effects for the business.
  • Monitor and keep up to date with legislative changes.
  • Help update and improve our existing contractual documentation.
  • Assist in creating an appropriate legal and governance framework for the business and establishing procedures to ensure legal best practices.
  • Advise concerning risk, governance matters, data protection / privacy and other associated legal areas.
  • Provide legal advice to our managed service and security consulting departments and our other internal support departments such as Sales, Finance, HR and Marketing.
  • Support the renewal of insurance policies and ensuring agreement to contractual obligations.

Where you'll be

This is a hybrid role (2 days per week in the office) based from our Edinburgh site. More details will be provided during the interview process.

What you’ll bring

  • Legally qualified solicitor, with experience negotiating commercial contracts and technology agreements gained either in an established in-house legal team or a private practice firm.
  • Knowledge of data protection law, intellectual property law and corporate law would be desirable.

What we offer

  • Private health care, virtual GP, 24/7 employee assistance programme and mental wellbeing platform
  • Hybrid and flexible working
  • Buy and sell holiday with an extra day off for your birthday
  • Ongoing training and development, with industry recognised certifications
  • Paid time off for training and volunteering
  • Cycle to work and tech scheme
  • Company pension
  • Financial wellbeing support
  • Income protection

We are leaders when it comes to inclusion. We believe a career in cybersecurity should be accessible for all and recognise that having a diverse team is essential to our success. We welcome all aspiring cyber defenders, irrespective of race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, neurotype or uniqueness. We understand that diversity goes beyond the surface and just as every hero has different talents, so too do our people.
