Job Description:

A studio based role, supporting the design team with regards to all accessories categories. To support and drive margin while delivering quality and aesthetic brand requirements. This role reports into the Development Director.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To source and develop accessories: products and components to required design brief. Categories include Footwear, Jewellery, Headwear, Soft Accessories, Leather Bags.
  • Management of product development in line with business critical path.
  • Driving product: adhering to the quality standards of luxury positioning and ensuring the optimum method of production is achieved.
  • Management of supply base and a good understanding of the skills and capabilities required
  • Working to achieve suitable product margin by ensuring the correct sourcing of suppliers and negotiating when necessary.
  • Creation of accurate and detailed tech packs for each category.
  • Identification and management of risk within the developed products.
  • Management of data input on the internal systems in a timely manner while obtaining all relevant information including pricing and composition details from supplier base.
  • Participation in pre-show activities.
  • Management of production handover/sealing, ensuring product is resolved sufficiently in order for production to commence.
  • Support Production Dept.on production level queries/concerns.
  • Creation of accessories quality standards and implementation where applicable.
  • Awareness and understanding of accessories ranges, identifying opportunities for the brand.
  • Research into new product development and supplier opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Degree level or similar
  • 7+ years of experience within Product Development at luxury positioning. Exposure on developing footwear and jewellery categories is required.
  • Construction knowledge of accessory multi products for categories as detailed above.
  • Organised, efficient and critical path focused
  • Proficient with Adobe Photoshop and good understanding of InDesign and Illustrator
  • PLM / PDM experience would be an advantage + MS office skills
