Pektron are looking for a full time, permanent Supplier Quality Engineer your role will be to manage the performance and quality of purchased parts.

responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Management and development of Supplier relationships
  • Manage the introduction of new parts from suppliers
  • Involvement in the APQP process for all new parts
  • Managing Supplier PPAP’s on New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Developing under-performing suppliers to reach their targets and maintain a consistent quality level into the business
  • Manage the containment of faulty parts and problem solve the issue (8D Problem Solving)
  • Close quality problems by managing the process & product specific audits
  • Provide assistance on the Incoming Inspection plan and measurement instructions

Ideally, candidates will have worked in an automotive manufacturing environment or within electronics manufacturing and have exposure with 8Ds, APQP and PPAP.

Applications are welcomed from experienced Supplier Quality Engineers or Quality Engineers looking to progress into an SQA function.

Driving licence is essential as you will be required to visit suppliers, as is the ability to travel internationally to meet with overseas Suppliers.

We are based in Alfreton Road in Derby, easily commutable from the Derby area, Nottingham, Mansfield, Burton, Loughborough, Ashbourne and the Peak District and East Staffordshire.

We have 5 modern, purpose-built buildings at our Derby site including state of the art manufacturing facilities and a purpose-built Engineering centre. Our facilities have been recognised as being one of the most modern and well-equipped electronics design, development and manufacturing plants in Europe.
