Job summary

To lead and manage the operations and administration of the company’s Vocational Training Centres; ensuring high-quality training delivery, full compliance with requirements and standards, and effective use of centre resources. Promote and enhance the standards, reputation and business of the centre and foster a supportive learning environment for internal and external learners. Act as a reserve Tutor/Assessor (T/A) and leading Internal Verifier (IV).


Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the training centre, advising candidates on our range of courses and ensuring training is delivered to high standards and in compliance with requirements.
  • Identify and explore different methods of attracting candidates to fill the training calendar and ensure that courses are fully booked, generating new leads and maintaining existing candidate relationships.
  • Create, develop and update internal and external training programmes and support materials.
  • Represent the centre at meetings, conferences and promotional events.
  • Cover training delivery and assessments, as required.
  • Ensure the consistency and quality of training and assessments through regular internal verification and quality assurance activities.


Essential Criteria

  • Recognised assessing qualification (e.g. A1, CAVA, D32/D33, L&D9D, TAQA 3/4).
  • Either hold or are working towards a recognised internal quality assurance qualification (e.g. D34, L4 IQA, L&D11, V1).
  • Minimum of 3-years’ experience in vocational training, work-based training, further education or a related field.
  • Proven experience in program development and management.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Be able to communicate and engage confidently, effectively and professionally.
  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task and co-ordinate workloads and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and under own initiative.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in vocational training and education.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications and educational software, with a focus on Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Pro-active and highly resourceful, with a desire to create a positive experience for others.


Hours of work

Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
