About the role


Due to continued growth, our client is building out the compliance team. While it is a lean team and most are generalist, this hire will focus on operations related compliance matters, particularly on trading control processes. You will report into the Head of Compliance.


Key responsibilities


  • Supporting the build out of compliance operations related processes
  • Analyzing exchange rulebooks and supporting new product approval
  • Looking after regulatory reporting (long and short position reporting/disclosures) and regulatory filings
  • Assisting on central compliance and code of ethics compliance related matters, including but not limited to compliance monitoring, personal account dealing approvals, and new process development


Key requirements


  • At least two years of compliance (or compliance related) experience at a trading firm, hedge fund, exchange operator, bank, or regulator. E-trading experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong understanding of the UK regulatory environment and requirements
  • Advanced excel (SQL) skills preferred
