This role requires a strong background in manufacturing Quality Assurance with management experience. Your new roleAs a QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for leading the company's Quality Assurance approach and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.This is also a hands-on role that entails conducting spot checks on products throughout the manufacturing process, investigating and resolving quality issues, supervising the inspection team, ensuring the delivery of relevant inductions, training, and coaching, and ensuring the efficient use of equipment and adherence to procedures. You will oversee implementation of quality initiatives on the shop floor to guarantee continual improvement.
- Quality Management:
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure ISO 9001 accreditation.
- Develop and implement an Integrated Management System (IMS) to achieve ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
- Oversee product inspections and investigations to maintain high-quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the team.
- Health, Safety, and Environment:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop preventive measures.
- Oversee the management of equipment maintenance schedules.
- Provide training and guidance on health, safety, and environmental matters for the team.
What you'll need to succeedQualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in a Quality Assurance management role within a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Experience of building or working with visual standards.
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 implementation.
- Experience introducing an IMS
- Engineering background or relevant qualifications.
- Membership of a professional chartered body.
- Experience in the optical manufacturing industry.
