In the UK, around half of consumers drink beer and cider and are happy with their choice. However, for the remaining half, around 70% of them say they don’t have a drink of choice. They end up drinking wine, G&T, cocktails. All great options but compared to beer and cider, these options are high ABV, short & expensive.But there is a solution Introducing Lonkero – based on the national drink of Finland, it is the UKs first Finnish long drink, and the only brand razor focused on being a pint-sized beer alternative.Where you come inWe’re on the hunt for more regional Business Development Managers who are ready to make an immediate impact. You'll play a key role in helping us build a whole new drinks category, driving new business sales and supporting existing customers in your territory.Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, this role offers a rare opportunity to grow with a fast-moving, award-winning startup.This offers huge prospects for career progression and a unique opportunity to be part of a team building a whole new category in the UK.DetailsTerritories: Scotland, Lancashire, Yorkshire & NE, East Anglia, Bristol & South WalesHours: Flexible; 16 hrs per weekTravel: Throughout your territory using your own vehicleStart date: 1st February 2026Who are we looking forMust haves• A ‘do it now’ attitude: proactive, motivated and hungry to succeed• Personable, friendly, outgoing, confident and thrives on building relationships• Commercially minded and tenacious with good grasp of the principles of sales and closing deals• Tenacity, quick thinking and calm under pressure• High standards for yourself and others, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. Key Skills• Relationship building• Competitive mentality• Planning and organisation• Commercial understanding• Problem solving and entrepreneurialKey experiencesExperience in sales and/ or events within consumer goods or hospitality is a plus—but above all, we’re looking for the right attitude and skillsWhat are the objectives of the role?• Lead and manage your own territory• Focus on licensed on trade with some off trade activity to support this• Achieve new distribution targets as set by Head of Sales• Maximise sales through existing customers by organising support activity alongside our marketing team• Work with partner wholesalers in your region to maximise sales revenuesWhat’s on offer?- 2-3 days’ work per week depending on territory- c. £30k pa pro rata plus bonuses- 35p per mile car allowance and parking expenses- Flexible working hours- Career progression and ability to define your future path as the business grows- Being responsible for launching a whole new category in the UKWe’re not just launching a brand—we’re creating a category.
