Toolroom Records is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to manage and drive growth across all of our social media channels. You will collaborate closely with our artists, run impactful campaigns for releases, and stay ahead of social media trends, ensuring Toolroom’s digital presence is at the cutting edge of the electronic music scene. This role requires a masterful understanding of platforms like TikTok and Instagram, along with a passion for dance music culture.
- Social Media Management: Oversee all Toolroom Records’ social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat), developing strategies to drive growth, engagement, and brand visibility.
- Community Management: lead dialogue and nurturing of our loyal community, understanding their needs and delivering superior value through creative social media management.
- Campaign Creation: Conceptualise and execute creative social media campaigns around new releases, events, and tours, ensuring each campaign aligns with the brand and resonates with the audience.
- Artist Collaboration: Work closely with Toolroom’s roster of artists to develop and enhance their social media presence, helping them grow their fanbase and engagement.
- Trend Identification: Stay up to date with social media trends and innovations, identifying and capitalising on new opportunities to enhance our presence, especially on TikTok.
- Authority on Social Media: Be the go-to expert for all things social media, providing insights, guidance, and recommendations for the broader marketing team.
- Content Creation & Strategy: Develop and maintain a content calendar, ensuring a consistent posting schedule and optimised content tailored for each platform.
- Data-Driven Analysis: Monitor analytics and track performance of campaigns, using data to optimise strategy and identify trends that align with the growth of the brand.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively within the marketing team, contributing creative ideas and collaborating on wider brand campaigns and projects.
Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the music industry, preferably with a record label, artist management, or music brand.
- Proven success managing and growing social media accounts, particularly TikTok and Instagram.
- A strong understanding and passion for electronic music, particularly house and techno.
- Ability to conceptualise and run social media campaigns from idea to execution.
- Creative, with a keen eye for trends and innovative content ideas.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines while working collaboratively with a team.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret analytics to drive decision-making.
- A passion for dance music culture and a deep understanding of its global community.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite).
- Strong content creation skills (graphic design, video editing, etc.).
- Familiarity with social media advertising and paid media strategies.
- Previous experience in managing influencer or artist partnerships.
