The Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Risk and Compliance Officer to join our executive team. This critical role will be responsible for leading our global risk management and compliance efforts, ensuring that our operations are secure, compliant, and resilient against the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape of the fintech industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial regulations, a strategic mindset, and the leadership skills to build and maintain a robust risk and compliance framework.


Responsibilities:

  • Risk Management Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive global risk management strategy that aligns with our business objectives and growth plans.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all company operations comply with relevant local, national, and international laws, regulations, and guidelines in the fintech sector.
  • Policy Development: Create, review, and update policies and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure compliance across all aspects of the business.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, auditors, and legal counsel on all matters relating to risk and compliance.
  • Training and Awareness: Lead initiatives to promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance throughout the organization, including training programs for employees.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports to the executive team and board of directors on risk exposure, compliance status, and mitigation strategies.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications in risk management or compliance are highly desirable.
  • 10+ years of experience in risk management and compliance within the financial services or fintech industry, with a proven track record in senior leadership roles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory environment affecting fintech companies, including AML, KYC, GDPR, and other relevant standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with risk assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
