Peace Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for an experience freelance site engineer to work with an established civil engineering contractor in Dundee. You will be covering residential and commercial groundworks packages. This is an ongoing project which could last circa 12 months. £300 per day (CIS or Outside IR35) + Fuel Card.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all site engineering aspects for groundwork packages.
  • Managing day-to-day site operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Setting out, leveling, and surveying the site.
  • Ensuring all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications.
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and other professional staff.
  • Monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect.
  • Coordinating and supervising construction workers.
  • Providing technical advice and solving problems on-site.
  • Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork.
  • Ensuring that health and safety standards are adhered to.


Requirements:

  • Experience with Trimble or Leica Total Station
  • CSCS Card
  • SSSTS or SMSTS (Desirable)
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on groundwork packages for residential and commercial developments.
  • Proficient in using site survey and setting out equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driving license and ability to travel to various sites.
