Job Title: Site Agent

Coyle Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Agent to join our team in the Northern Regions. As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for the management of construction sites to ensure the successful delivery of projects to our customers' objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Overall responsibility for the management of construction sites to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  2. Deliver projects to the specified quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  3. Lead teams of Sub Agents, Engineers, and Foreman to deliver projects safely and to the specified quality.
  4. Ensure the commercial performance of contracts is maximised.
  5. Produce and manage project construction programmes and procurement schedules.
  6. Undertake an ambassadorial role representing the business to customers, public, and official bodies.
  7. Deliver end products to customer requirements and satisfaction.
  8. Populate and manage project cost plans.
  9. Maximise project value.
  10. Ensure detailed site diaries/records are completed.
  11. Maintain commercial tension to drive out cost and challenge the status quo.
  12. Endeavour to spot and highlight value engineering opportunities.
  13. Produce good quality, accurate monthly reports for the Client and internally.
  14. Chair weekly site meetings in line with Company procedures.
Key Measures & Targets:
  1. Monthly and weekly reporting timescales are met.
  2. Adherence to Business Unit Objectives.
  3. Ensure 3 Pillar KPI measures are met.
Key Relationships:
  1. Customers and stakeholders.
  2. Subcontractors and suppliers.
  3. Site teams and support departments.
Person Specification:

The successful candidate will need considerable experience in Civil and Water sectors as well as an appreciation of Process Engineering, and likely to meet all of the following criteria;

Essential:
  1. Considerable experience in Civil Engineering/Water and Utilities as a Site Agent for a contractor, delivering projects in a highly regulated environment.
  2. Working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management, and cost control including forecasting, actual cost, and value reporting.
  3. Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent (Desirable).
  4. Good knowledge of specifications and testing regime relevant to general civil engineering.
  5. Knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
  6. CSCS (Site Manager).
  7. SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely.
  8. NRSWA Supervisor.
  9. Lift Appointed Person.
  10. Knowledge of Primavera P6 software.
  11. Excellent communication, people, and team management skills.
  12. Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to conclusion.
  13. Ability to demonstrate the right behaviours and lead the team to ensure the culture is in line with our Company values.
  14. Ability to demonstrate the right behaviours and motivate and lead the team in line with the Company culture, ensuring high standards of compliance.
Desirable:
  1. Temporary Works Co-ordinator.
  2. Confined space training.
  3. CEng MICE, or equivalent.
