Finance Manager/Head of Finance

- Day-Day Management of the Finance Function, including:
o Reporting on all financial matters at Management Team meetings.
o Maintain all Financial Ledgers using the (SYSPRO) ERP system.
o Maintain the Fixed Assets Register.
o Prepare weekly Bank Reconciliations and cash flow forecasts.
o Supervision and development of finance support staff.
o Manage foreign currency requirements.
o General Ledger Journal entries including Accruals & Prepayments.
o Credit Control.
o Processing Supplier Payments.
o Preparation and processing of payroll and the company pension scheme.
o Review, reconcile and report on monthly stock levels and Work-in-Progress.
o Produce monthly Management Accounts within 7 working days of each month end.
o Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
- Financial Planning & Reporting, including:
o Work closely with the Board / departmental managers in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
o Contribute to the preparation of the Business Plan.
o Provide financial data and explanations to the company’s accountants to enable them to prepare the annual financial statements and corporation tax calculations.
o Develop a finance function capable of supporting the growth of the business.
- Business Improvement, including:
o Ensure accurate daily time sheet entries into the SYSPRO Works Order system.
o Close completed works orders and Report monthly on profit margins.
o Analysis to identify potential, profitability improvements across the business.
o Provide commentary on analysis and support the Management Team in making well informed, commercial business decisions.
o Support the ongoing improvement of systems and processes within the business.
- Manage General Commercial Contracts; including:
o General Insurance Annual renewal.
o Renewal of Energy Contracts.
Manufacturing experience.
Week by week rolling basis
