Purchasing Specialist

We are seeking a Purchasing Specialist to centralise the procurement process across our group of companies. This role involves reducing costs and implementing a unified ERP system to streamline purchasing operations.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assess and analyse the current purchasing strategies across the five businesses within the group.
  • Develop a centralised procurement process that aligns with the group’s objectives.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to reduce costs and secure advantageous terms.
  • Implement one ERP system to unify procurement activities across the group.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to ensure competitive pricing and supply chain reliability.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular reports on purchasing activities and cost-saving initiatives to senior management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Specialist or in a similar role within procurement.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management and procurement processes.
  • Experience in implementing ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions that align with the company’s financial goals.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with purchasing software.
