Job Description:

Principal accountabilities:

  • Design and facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, discovery activities to elicit requirements/user stories from stakeholders
  • Refine user stories with development and validate their understanding of the business requirements.
  • Validate user stories using research, data and customer insight to make informed decisions on priorities and focus
  • Support the Product Owner / Head Of in identifying the high-level features and resulting User Stories, building and prioritising the product backlogs
  • Work closely with UX Designers to align translation of user stories into viable product designs and deliver wireframes and working prototypes.
  • Managing and influencing senior stakeholder alignment and communication at various levels across multiple business areas and divisions
  • Scope and shape the analysis approach from high-level feature level for the value stream
  • Support product managers across the App and retail business, encouraging innovation and the identification of customer-centred journeys and experiences
  • Provides support to other BA’s within the team
  • May provide assignment lead support to other BA’s

  • Experience and knowledge of mobile applications including the React Native platform or similar

Desirable: Knowledge of development and integration of APIs into digital customer facing platforms


Experience:

  • Must have a strong background as a Business Analyst within an Agile software development Scrum team and product development environment
  • Experienced working with senior stakeholders (Heads of, Director level)
  • Experience of working as part of a development team is essential
  • Able to demonstrate supportive, communicative and collaborative approach to working in a team
  • Experience in tools commonly used in Agile environment
  • An understanding and applied knowledge of User Experience and Customer Journey concepts
  • Confident working with ambiguity
  • Ability to work independently and be highly self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Experienced in conceptual modelling; ability to see the big picture and envision possible solutions

  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Strong negotiating skills, is a great listener and is skilled at dealing with conflict
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Applied knowledge of Business Process Modelling techniques
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills
