This job would someone with previous experience in an accounting or finance environment, to be responsible for providing essential support in various accounting functions and the wider team, contributing to the efficient operation of the finance department.

This company is a leading IT business with a great track record in an industry that adds significant value to its customers. The company continues to go from strength to strength with ambitious growth plans for the next few years and will offer the successful individual an excellent career opportunity.

The successful individual will have efficient accountancy understanding, including experience with invoicing. They must have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel is essential.

Duties will include:

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations.
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with invoice processing, including verification, coding, and data entry.
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding account status and transactions.
  • Support the finance team in ad-hoc tasks and special projects as needed.
